My new toy

Went to the local gun show today and walked out with a new to me toy. Been trying to sell a Ruger LCP and a Sig P250 for a while now and had luck at the show. Traded the Ruger and Sig (which were LNIB) for a LNIB Smith and Wesson M&P 45acp and got $165 to boot. Very pleased with the deal. Anyone have an M&P that can offer insight on what ammo it does and doesnt like and a good mid cost iwb holster. My M&P is the 4inch barrel. It has the manual safety as well which wasnt a choice I would have chose if I had the option of with or without.

You can remove the manual safety fairly easily, or else have a gunsmith do it for you. Contact S&W, and they will mail you some frame plugs, that fill the holes where the safety sticks through the frame.

My M&P's have fed everything I've tried, but seem to shoot nearest to point of aim with 185gr loads. YMMV.

Slightly off-topic, but I'm gathering info on the P250, just curious why you chose to sell it?

Wasn't anything necessarily wrong with the P250 it just don't fit a need I had. Similar to the LCP. Plus I had the itch for a new piece. One problem I had with the p250 was it hit about 5 inches low point of aim for me. Yet it point of aim for a friend. So I decided to sale or trade it and the lcp. The lcp was just too much recoil for accurate safety. No sense in carrying something I can't hit with past 10 feet. So I became more comfortable carrying in warm weather clothing my everyday carry a Springfield xd9.

Thanks. Looking for a full size .45 and am currently debating between the P250 and XD(m), and possibly the PX4 Storm. I'll probably make a thread about it once it gets closer to being a reality financially.

While I was waiting on all the paperwork and whatnot for my new CZ the LGS I was at sold not one but TWO M&P pistols in under 5 mins each to two different people. In that whole time, not one person even LOOKED in the Glock case. M&P is becoming a real threat, a worthy one to boot to Glocks market share.

If I ever get over my dislike DAO pistols I just might buy one

I own a glock and can't really say anything bad about it. It's a 26 and the wife currently carries it. Didn't fit my hand as nice as my springfield xd9 sub. If you're considering the 250 thinking it comPares to the 220 or 226 you will be disappointed. It's cheaper made obvious by the plastic frame. I have a sig 226 navy and wouldn't trade it for anything.
