which holographic sight?
i want to get a holographic sight for my ar but I don't wanna pay 400- 3500 for an aimpoint, eotech, or trijicon even though i really want one, i just cant shell out that much money for one. I have done some searching and have come up empty handed by people saying go big or go home. I was wondering what you guys use to take the place of the major brands stated above. How ever it does need to be reliable, please respond with the brand, price, and where i can get it if applicable. Thanks very much in advance.

The Eotech is the only holographic sight.
Bushnell used to sell one. (Both made by L3 Com.) The others mentioned are projected LED. I used an Eotech M512 ($400+). I also have two Vortex Strikefires ($150 ea). Both types work fine and have super warranties. |

As stated, if you want a true holosight then look at EOTech. You might search eBay for a Bushnell Holosight. They're not made anymore but EOTech made those for Bushnell. You can usually get one for around $200.00. I have one on one of my 22's.

I'm a Lucid HD7 fan. Multiple reticles, available magnifier, and it's built well and seems solid.

It's a good red dot sight. It's not a holographic sight like the OP specified. Of course he may not realize the difference.

I have used multiple EOTechs in some some pretty harsh condidtions. I will say I have never had one fail on me, great run time, clear sight picture, holds BZO well. So if you decide to make that choice I highly doubt you'll be disappointed. Just what i think though.

I've been checking out the Bushnell HOLOsight but on eBay they have 2 different models or maybe one is a fake? One is solid and the other has a seperate sight and battery pack. Not sure which to get.

I thought that was the real one, the other just didn't look right. Debating on getting it or saving for an eotech. Thanks for your help guys.
