Original Buttstock for Browning Auto-5 ?

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement buttstock for my Browning Auto-5 12 gauge heavy? I want an original production one from early to mid 60's. Thanks.

I would shop the gunshows in your area ....or used gun stores in your area / a used gunshop in my area ...has at least a dozen Auto 5's ....in degrees of condition ...and I'd probably pick one up as a parts gun ...if I were you.

You can get a stock from www.midwestgunworks.com they have them in stock about $210. Or go directly to Browning , download the parts catalog and stocks for the A-5 are listed, first couple of pages.

The checkering is different on the Japanese versus Belgium models, Art can make a reproduction version to match your current butt stock color, I have had a couple of guns completely refinished by him an his work is impeccable.

The stocks that Midwest and Browning currently sale are the darker colored Japanese versions.
