Our Pistol Club shoots Bullseye, IDPA, USPSA three gun, GSSF and Cowboy. The only events I can remember seeing juniors at is GSSF and Cowboy. What is your club charging Juniors to shoot? Do you give a discount? Our regular monthly match fee is $10 for SASS/ $15 non-SASS and $10 for Juniors regardless. I think it is time to ask my club to drop the price for juniors to $5. Last match had six juniors out of 40 shooters. Seems we should be more aggresive in making it easier on the youth.

Howdy Ned,
Two of the clubs I shoot with let juniors shoot for free. One of the clubs even lets the adult who brings the junior shoot for free, also. Bellicose Bill |

Thanks Bill for info. I was trying to muster support for a vote at my club. Seems to be two camps of thought. 1) Match fee is low enough already, don't lower for Juniors! and the opposite camp: 2) Juniors should shoot free!

I'd be willing to pay a little extra to encourage juniors to shoot...or women for that matter, (uh oh, don't let my wife read this).
