Refinishing a M28
I have an old S&W M28. It was electroless nickelled about 30 years ago. The finish has a few rough spots on it. Can the current finish be removed? I'd like it nickelled again? Who can do a good job and for about how much?

Electroless nickel can be removed and the gun polished, then the electroles nickel can be reapplied.

I don't have a link, but Ford's in Tampa area has a reputation for some seriously nice work.

The only visual difference in nickel plating and electroless nickel plating is the method of application. Electroless plates in hole and voids better than electrolytic nickel, and is a little harder.
The surface finish dictates how either finish looks. |

Most highly recommend either www.apwcogan.com and www.robarguns.com

Here is the link to Fords. Look at their Customer Pics link for some really nice examples of their work.
