Retro AR mags

I picked up a 20rd AR mag today with

M16/M16A1 CAL 5.556mm
universal inds. div.
Simmonds prec. prod. inc.
west haven, conn. u.s.a.

Stamped on the floor plate for 15 bucks. can anyone tell me more about this brand? Did I do well on price? While we are at it I got 2 20rds mags marked Adventure Line and one Colt 20rd mag marked .223. My understanding is the Colt 20rd mags marked .223 instead of 5.56 are earlier production and Adventure Line mags are a bit more rare? Id love to see pics of various early manufacture mags.

If there's no date stamped on the mag body, then they're pre-ban Sept 1994. Those should be good magazines if in good condition.

Patrick Sweeney's first AR book (around 2004) has a lot of info on early mags plus pictures.

Colt 20 rounder on the left is one of two that came with my SP1 back in '74, the one on the right is a mid 70's era Adventure Line mag.

Im thinking the colt is early production due to the .223 stamp. All three my buddy gave me are worn to almost bare.
