Which Glock? Which Sig are you considering?

I carry a Sig P220 (not the carry version) and it disappears in a comp-tac minotaur IWB.

Whichever you shoot more accurately?

Let's see, Glock has 3 (4 if you include the new 30S model) of .45s. Sig has several models of .45s, including 1911's and guns of their own design. You really have to narrow it down a bit, and tell us what you want to do with the guns. Are they home defense? CCW? Target shooting? We don't have enough information to give you any useful information.

EDIT: You did mention for carry, but that's still not enough information...

The Glock 30 has a lot of firepower and in a small package. I've had one, but wasn't accurate with it when practicing quick double taps. Others love theirs. Have you tried to find a local range and renting one for a session to see if you like it?

Isn't the Sig p220 a full size metal? Nice gun, but wouldn't that be a little heavy?

I have the Sig carry scorpion 1911 for my carry gun and love it. I used to carry the glock 30 but found that I too had a hard problem with double taps. This is not a problem with the scorpion though.

I have a SIG P220 Carry model and used it as my primary carry for a few years. I use a Milt Sparks VM-II IWB holster and the thing was really very comfortable. I decided to switch to 9mm primarily for increased capacity and now use either a SIG P229 or GLOCK 26.

So, while I like both manufactures and feel you really can’t go wrong with either, but if I had to pick just one it would be the SIG.

new Glock...

I prefer the .357sig for carry or defense. It's fast, powerful & feeds great.
If you want a new .45acp, check out the new model Glock 30S. It's a 30 type frame with a sub-compact 36 slide. It's slim & compact but still offers the highly rated .45acp load.
Check www.glock.com or a Glock dealer for available pistols. They may be rare for the first 6-8mo due to the huge push in gun sales.

The ParaUSA LDA .45acp & the S-A compact .45acp brands are decent too.
