Bought a new A-bolt Stainless Stalker in 7-08 cal last summer. Until now, I haven't had the time to load ammo for it, so I have been shooting Remington's Premier Boattail in 140gr. Thing is, I am very pleased with the accuracy of this "store bought" round and would like to duplicate it when I begin re-loading. Any thoughts, recommendations, suggestions on how I might replicate Remington's load?

I would start by chronographing it find a couple of loads in your favorite manual that are close and then go from there.

I'm not sure how you could duplicate it exactly, but some rem. brass, Rem. large rifle primers, a Sierra 140gr. boattail (I think that's what they use), and Varget as your powder might make a good load. Check Hodgdon's website for data. http://www.hodgdon.com
