Mossberg 800BSM - What is it?
I have a Mossberg 800BSM.
I cannot find any information on what the "S" in the "BSM" designation means. All the research I have done leads to the same place... no where. The 800BM was a 20" sporter barrel in .243 Winchester. For my rifle; 800 was the model. "B" was the chambering; .243 Winchester. "M" is the 20" barrel. So.. can anyone tell me what the "S" was, and how many of these rifles were produced? I'm starting to wonder if I have a variant even more rare than the 800AM; which can sell for a nice chunk of change. Last edited by FrankenMauser; May 22, 2009 at 10:16 AM. |

The "S" stands for "Scoped". It would have come as a combo with a scope.
