DynaTek Bore Coat
All of the discussion about bore seasoning reminded me about the relatively new Dynatek Bore Coat. It's a ceramic coating that can be applied with a bore mop that ends up being about 25 microns thick after curing.
It's such an effective coating that Knight applies it to all of their new rifle bores. So in a way this is the new fangled way to season one's bore that really does work to help the bore to resist corrosion, to accumulate less fouling and to make it easier to clean. Knight further states that it helps to improve accuracy and increase velocity. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/176...sting-_-176814 http://www.dynamicfinishes.com/compa...tra-bore-coat/ http://www.dynamicfinishes.com/wp-co...-Bore-Coat.pdf http://www.knightrifles.com/muzzleloader-details Last edited by arcticap; March 18, 2012 at 06:54 PM. |
