Cleaning 12 ga. Hulls

I've yet to purchase a reloader, but saving my STS hulls. I just wipe down the outside to remove the dirt. What do you after picking-up hulls off of a dirt surface? I mean besides reload and shoot another. I thought of tossing them in water with a dish soap.

I pick them up. This probably dusts off some of the fouling. I've never really had a problem with it. The hulls usually split before they get too dirty.

When the wife is out shopping a pillow case full of AA hulls get thrown in the washing machine for a ride in cold water(no soap). I have the machine do a second spin cycle to make sure I get them a little drier. Then a couple hours lying on the picnic table in the sun to get the last of the water out.
