The short answer is YES, 308 brass can be trimmed, reamed to 45 ACP brass or 45 Win Mag brass, I know it is because I have done it.
They were initially cut long, then the inside diameter was reamed on a lathe, trimmed to final length, then annealed. This was done to about 70 .308 cases that had the case neck crushed beyond repair, other than that it was not really worth the time it took to do it.

I know, old thread.
This might also work for .460 Rowland? I know the case needs to be a little thicker and .308 is thicker. Last edited by archangel2003; December 9, 2014 at 01:24 PM. |
