May I ask why you want to use 150 grain bullets?

There are good 158 grain pistol bullets for light loads.

Also remember that the jacket material for handgun bullets is designed with lower handgun velocities in mind. .357/125grHP's at 2,200fps hit water jugs and ground-hogs like high explosive artillery rounds going off. Even a 158gr at 1700/1800 fps is going to make a lasting impression....

.35 caliber rifle and pistol bullets are different diameters, with rifle bullets miking .358" and pistol bullets at .357". Not a huge deal, but will cause you problems if you are not careful.

35 rem

i am looking for 150 gr bullets for a contender in 35 rem.The 150 gr bullet just happens to be what this barrel seems to love and it has plenty of knock down for deer black bear and caribouand in most places I hunt it has plenty of punch for moose.

Do you mean 250 gr? I don't know of any manufacturer that makes 150 gr .358" bullets.

I don't know anyone who, in reality, hunts Moose with a 35 Rem using 150 grain bullets. I think you're dreaming.

I couldn't find any manufacture of bullets that sell a 150 grain bullet for reloading. I know Remington offers a 150 PSP for the 35 Rem which I'm sure you already know. Hornady does offer a 180 grain for single shot pistols that you might have good luck with. You could have someone like Hawk http://www.hawkbullets.com/ custom build you some bullets in 150 grain, not a very cheap prospect though.

aaalaska welcome to the board. Personally I'd want a heavier bullet but I won't pretend to be a Moose hunter. Did you check the freezer? HEE HEE
Serious though wish I lived close enough to eat supper with you....Creeker

no I didn't check but since theres only about 20 lbs left he shouldn't go to far or fast, not sure what makes em dead but the piece I threw on the grill last night was at least very calm.Yes a heavier bullet would probably be better, but i've never shot one over 60 yds, most a lot closer, and 150 gr bullet isn't really all that small, put most any decent bullet through the heart lung area =dead moose, even done the deed with stick & string.
