Marlin Camp Carbine help needed

Greetings,

I took the trigger guard assembly apart in my Marlin Camp 45, for cleaning and to grind away at, er I mean, "polish" the feed ramp. It has a lot more parts than I thought.

Does anyone have reassembly instructions or, if not, an exploded diagram they can fax, mail, or email me?

I own that carbine in 9mm and want to strip it and entirely clean, as it chokes on some ammo like S&B sometimes. Seems to be dirt in the machine! What possibilities are there to make it reliable and the trigger pull smooth AND safe, as just grinding and honing is near to full-auto!

I've sent you the instructions. As to the trigger work, do yourself a favor and take it to a competent smith. Trigger work is one of the areas I don't give advice on. George

Austrian,

I looked at the sear-trigger relationship when I had the trigger-guard apart and decided I didn't want to change anything. I just polished the surfaces and put some dry-lube on the sear. It's a little smoother and snappier. A heavy trigger is not necessarily a bad thing on this gun.

Also, you can make slave pins out of pieces of tiny dowels to assist in reassembly.
