An interesting perspective on Gun Control

I've watched this gentlemans videos here and there, and I have to say that it's an interesting perspective on how gun control does not work.

I actually didn't know about the conflicts mentioned in this video, most likely due to me being too young and it being of foreign concern perhaps.

I agree with much of what he said ......

I would add that the "disrespenct for the Law" that he thinks further gun control will foster is not viewed as a bad thing by those who mean to rule, "for law abiding Citizens can not be ruled- only criminals can be controlled- laws are needed that will break and can be made criminals.

I was stationed in Germany during the War in Yugoslavia ..... training up in "Low Intensity Conflict" and "Peace Keeping" - two fictions invented by leaders who know NOTHING about combat, which is "killing people and breakin' stuff"..... I could see what was happening with the whole UN "safe zone" BS ...... unless the UN "peacekeepers" were willing to step in (and get slaughtered) , the Serbs were going to do whatever they wanted (which was basicly act like Nazi forces did in Russia, and the Red Army did in turn in Germany).... The UN was all about "Rules of Engagement" and "Laws of War" and "Talks with a view toward Peace Accords" ..... and the Serbs were all about killing as many Bosniaks as they could, before they could arm themselves.

I saw the future (me wearing a Blue Helmet in the Balkans), and made my way out of Uncle Sam's Killin' People and Breakin' Stuff Club.

Back when I was in South Africa, there was legislation in place that allowed citizens to own firearms. There were restrictions on semi-auto rifles and shotguns and such, but this just meant they were harder to get. There were no restrictions on magazines or ammunition or anything unreasonable like that.

The laws allowed people to own and carry firearms. This was however heavily regulated by the police force. we had to apply for a license to own each gun we wanted, and the police decided if we did in fact need them.

This made it almost impossible to legally own any firearm at all, no matter the make or model, or how much money you spent on the firearm itself or training certifications to meet regulations. If the police said you didn't need one, you couldn't get one.

I don't know how the laws have changed, or how the police now handle the situation in the past seven years, but it's safe to assume that it's not any easier.

One good thing though was the lack of need for permits to carry. If you legally owned a firearm, you could carry it concealed without any issue.

I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government's right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy, and willingly pay for, armed protection, yet decry me having the same a crime. You have overstepped a line that is not your domain.

I am a United States military veteran of many years, and I will not have someone who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries some and has many in their homes and places of work, tell me I may not have one.

I am not your subject. I am a man who has kept you free. I am not your servant. I am a person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America.

I am a man who fought for your country and mine. I am a man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my firearms because of the actions of some evil person. I will not register any of my firearms because these other inanimate objects involved with human suffering are not registered:

* Arrows, swords, bayonettes, spears, knives, axes, hatchets, baseball bats, golf clubs, tire irons, box cutters, scissors, ice picks, pitch forks, crowbars and ropes that can be tied into hangman's nooses; they kill people.

* Telephones; they make obscene calls.

* Pens and pencils; they write bad checks.

* Cameras, crayons and paint brushes; they make pornographic pictures.

* Printers; they make counterfeit dollar bills.

* Containers, every bottle, can, jug, box, keg or barrel holding anything with alcohol, as alcohol, like other intoxicating depressants (yes it's a depressant), causes more deaths and harm to humans than firearms.

* Paper money of any kind, so, if paid to a criminal to commit a crime and are recovered as evidence, their serial numbers can be used to trace them back to their owner.

* Everybody's DNA profile and fingerprints, so, if it's in evidence found in a crime scene, they can be identified.

I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.

We, the people, deserve better than you.
