Kel-Tec Shotgun

Assuming you mean the one shown at the SHOT show with twin tube magazines, I e-mailed them the same question three weeks ago and did not receive a reply. Bill

Some recent videos by Nut N Fancy suggest that it likes the kel tec if KSG works out some issues concerning the safety and having to frequently beat it up in order pump the action. A gunsmith from KSG, one of the guys at Shot Show, participated in the video and a standard joke was when the KSG would be ready.

Going back through the Shot Show videos of the Kel-Tec booth on YouTube - there were only a couple of comments on the release date:

"Later this year"
"Toward the end of the year"
"At the end of the year"

I didn't even hear them qualify the time frame as 4th quarter.

Kel-Tec posted a video on YouTube to follow up on the Shot Show, which was posted on February 28th. In that video Chad says "[Kel-Tec] will be shipping [the KSG] at the end of the year." So my guess is that the very earliest would be October, but it could be December.

Here is the link to the Kel-Tec YouTube video:

I really want to get one but kind of want to wait for it to be out for a while so bugs can get worked out. I am very excited about it though. it seems like the first real innovation in shotguns in a while.

I asked my dealer about a month ago, they had no idea. Asked again today, still no answer to give. Lots of folks around here asking. Regardless of any "bugs" it may have out of the starting gate .....they are going to sell a whole bunch.

Minimum of the end of the year, more likely about a year from now

the pmr-30 isn't ubiquitous at all, and that's been a year+. I think there's gonna be some waiting going on regarding this shotgun...

Kel-Tec's projections were for a MSRP of $800. I wouldn't expect it to street for much less until the initial demand is satiated, which is not likely until some time after they do start appearing.
