newbie questions

As I've said in other posts I'll be moving to Florida in a short time. I have two NFA projects in mind when down there that I'd like some input on. I'd like to have my 870 12ga. cut back to 14" bbl for easier carry backpacking/camping and I'd like to have my Ruger MkIII suppressed. I understand the cost issue for the tax stamp. I'd like to know if I have to show a valid reason for doing this on the application. Any input would be appreciated, thanks, Bill

You do have to put the reason on the form. Most use Personal Firearms Collection
