8X57 Mauser Ammo

I picked up some 8X57 ammo for my new M48 Mauser. The head stamp reads “FNM 71-13” and is 1971 production. Is there any way to be sure its non-corrosive? What is the country of origin?

Your headstamp shows that this stuff is Portuguese, which is usually pretty good stuff, but the only way to tell for sure if it's corrosive or not is to fire an empty case (pulled bullet, no powder) at a polished steel plate, clean your rifle like it WAS corrosive, and then watch the plate to see what happens.
