I recently obtained one of these presses from a neighbor who was moving and had not used it in 10 years. I currently use a Dillon SDB. My question is does any one have any experience with one of these? RCBS said they would trade in this press for one of their newer reloaders, but, right now I would like to fix this one up, restore it and use it. It is configurd in 38/357. Thanks! ------------------ DKL |

I had a couple of these machines. At best they are awkward to use and certainly a lot of trouble. For decades there were two main competing progressive designs, circulars like the Dillon, and straightlines like this RCBS. Today the straightlines are all but forgotten and for good reason. They just aren't all that great. If RCBS will do a trade, I'd ask for one of their new RCBS 2000 progressives using their strip primers. That's an excellent machine.
