Taylor & Company/Uberti value?

I found a Taylors & Co. Uberti Model 1873 Cattleman Single Action Revolver, 45 Colt NIB. https://www.gunsamerica.com/UserImag...wm_9970177.jpg
I can get it shipped for $447. Is it a bargain?
I have also been looking for a used Ruger New Vaquero, should I wait and try to find one of them instead?

That's a pretty good price. I'd rather have that than a Ruger any day.

A good price for a good revolver. While nowhere near the fit and finish of a true Colt's SAA®, they are budget priced guns which fill a niche for those that can't afford a Colt's. Not bad by any means, and that's a solid price for one.

That's a decent price. I have ordered my Ubertis through my LGS and they have always given me a decent price that is lower than MSRP.

I suppose you can argue that it isn't a "Colt" but it isn't the price of a Colt SAA either. Mine are great shooters and very nice fit and finish. Crisp actions and give me must as much mileage as a Colt SAA would give. Just because they are made in Italy does not mean that are not equal to a Colt. You could argue that all day with some folks but in the end - a Uberti will shoot just as well as a Colt SAA. A pony on the side of a handgun has nothing to do with the function and accuracy - you do you job and that Uberti will do its job. Good luck - it's a nice looking revolver!
