WSF in 357

Has anyone seen any load data using WSF for 357? I have a pound I used to use for 20 guage. I'd like to use it up, I no longer use 20 guage. Looking at burn charts, I'm thinking it may work in 357.

WSF in .357

I haven't found any load data for WSF and .357 mag, but the latest Speer Manual had some data for 38 spl +p. A 158 gr. lead bullet and 4.9 gr. WSF gave approximately 890 fps. A 140 gr. jacketed bullet w/ 5.5 gr. WSF gave about 950 fps. You could start there and work up carefully.

I remember someone posting somewhere about .357 mag and WSF but complained of high SDs. He/she may have been using a small pistol mag primer. I've started to use regular SP primers with my mid-range .357 loads. Will test and chrono a few this weekend w/Universal and N340.

On thehighroad.org, a revolver shooter reported good results and small SDs using 9.0 gr. WSF with a 240gr. bullet in 44. mag. The name was Mikul and the velocities were around 1000 fps.

I have several lbs. of WSF that I use in 9mm. Let us know your results.
