Well, ole Ned is getting his butt kicked over the last match. Six stages, 96 rifle/pistol rounds no one has problem with. It is the 34 shotgun rounds I'm getting beat up over. The cowboys love it! The cowgirls are looking for rope and a tall tree! Yipes! What is a good round count for shotgun. Or is there such a thing?

Howdy Ned,

At the Cherokee Cowboy matches, which are six stages,we generally have around 24 shotgun targets. We rarely have a stage that has more than 6 shotgun, and most of the time it's 4 shotgun targets on a stage.

Hey, we have six monthly stages also. Thanks for info. After two years as Fox Bend TG, new blood has taken over. I remain TG of another newer club. Unfortunately, I was tapped to be Fox Bend Match Director. I have gotten 14 votes in favor and 7 against higher shotgun round count. All in favor are cowboys, all opposed are cowgirls. After the last match, four cowboys and one cowgirl have gone out and bought new shotguns. I just hope not to use on me?
