Lately, it has been primarily this...

S&W m640

...but, since I need to get used to it because I will be carrying it at work daily very soon, I have been transitioning over to this...

It's about 50/50 between the Colt Combat Commander and the S&W 4516-1. Ammo is usually FMJ or Golden Saber 230gr.

Right now it's my HK P2000 in a F.I.S.T. IWB holster 100% of the time. That time will be shared with my P7 as soon as I get a holster for it.

In the winter a Sig 229 .40, and sometimes a Glock G29 or Taurus PT1911.

In the summer it's usually a Kahr K9, but sometimes the Sig 229 or S&W .38 snub.

Mine will be this, once the postperson delivers my Texas CHL.

Ruger SP101 chambered in the new .327 Federal Magnum. Pictured are six of the Speer 115gr Gold Dots. 15" of penetration in ballistics gel, expansion to damn near .60" and nearly a quarter ton of energy at the muzzle out of a 3" barrel. Not bad for "just another .32."

Good luck not being snide in ten years.

In ten years, if the .327 mag has flopped out of the market, then I will have plenty of reasonable concealed carry models and calibers available from which to choose. At this moment, this is what is available and this is what I have chosen.

If people like yourself keep up this silly "it'll never last" mantra as a reason not to buy a new firearm in a new cartridge, despite the promise of the actual ballistics of said cartridge, then yes, it's a good bet that the cartridge will fail. In other words, the cartridge will die simply for the reason that a bunch of shortsighted curmudgeons decided that it would fail without experimenting with the new cartridge for themselves.

And even if the .327 does fail at some unforeseen point in the future, why should that be any reason for me not to choose to employ the cartridge presently while it is still available (and even on the upswing, I might add)?

When my wife heals up so I can leave the little one under her care, I'll be taking the class for my CHL. After the wait, I'll be carrying this Kahr PM9 with Speer Gold Dot. Depending on attire, either in a FIST K8 Tuckable/Cantable IWB or a FIST K5 Pocket Holster.
