7mm swt
Anyone load for this round? A co-worker of mine acquired a weatherby chambered in this round. Supposedly the gun was set up to shoot match using 160 Accubonds and he wanted some rounds loaded.

No offense intended... But did you mean 7mm STW ?
If you did mean 7mm STW, here is Nosler's load data. http://www.nosler.com/7mm-shooting-times-westerner I don't personally load for it... but I will note that H1000 seems to be very popular for a lot oh "Magnum type" cartridges this size. |

Yes,
I have loaded for this round since '92 when it was still considered a wildcat. Developed by Layne Simpson, shooting writer, it debuted in May 1988, Shooting Times, I think. It is simply a necked down Rem 8 mag, all other dimensions being the same as the parent case. It will drive a 140 at 3400fps+ and a 160 at 3200fps+. Great cartridge, long Tom for sure. Go to Long Range Hunting.com, there is an entire forum devoted strictly to the 7 STW |

I thought it was a great flat shooting round. It was based on the 8mm Mag necked down and more powerful than the 7mm WBY & RemMag.
Them along came the 7mm Rem Ultra Mag which trumped it |
