How many rounds till an AK catches fire?
Apparently 737. At least until it stops working.

Uh yeah, and this is why I tend to be VERY leary of buying any used firearm and if I do, won't give much for one just in case it was abused like this one was.

hold crap! I wouldn't of expected the barrel to bend like that.
Here's a legit AK which seems to hold up slightly better... its not the full video but its all i could find http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIO-Ct_VJvM |

And now we know...
why the antis think it is dangerous for everybody to have access to guns. Not the brightest thing I have ever seen done with a firearm, that's for sure.

Full Auto Fire- Colt
Reading that a Colt M4A1 had barrel rupture on the 535th round. After the 911th shot, an M4A1 SOCOM carbine stopped functioning , gas tube ruptured. Lucky you dont have full autos.

I personally didn't see any violation of the safety rules in the filming and no one seemed to be hurt or die.
I was also surprised to see the barrel bend. Press out that barrel and put a new one in and that thing would be good to go again though. |

Hmmm, and no one was concerned that the gun blow up in their face? Oh, yeah - this is one of the main reason I'd NEVER buy used ARs or AKs.

Especially towards the end when they couldn't charge the bolt and left a round in there for a while. Maybe I'm just paranoid or cautious about it and maybe it wasn't hot enough to cook off the round, but I would not be leaving rounds in the chamber like that. I wouldn't plan on finding out how hot a barrel has to be to accidentally set a round off. just my opinion

Would have caught fire faster if it had been auto.
I love videos like these. |
