Cleaning and lubricating a M&P9

Hey guys. What are some good cleaning solvents to use on a polymer gun. I picked up some random stuff from Walmart the other day but I am not sure if it is suitable for using on a M&P. I think I got "Gunscrubber", and some gun cleaner by Hoppes, along with their lube.

Make sure the gunscrubber is safe for plastic. It will say it on the can. Other than that you should be ok with the other stuff you bought. Enjoy your M&P.

Top cleaning products for a M&P 9x19mm...

I owned a S&W Military and Police 9x19mm pistol for a few months in 2011/2012.
For general cleaning/service, I'd buy a synthetic CLP or maybe some Ballistol.
Good brands include; LPX, Weaponshield, Gunzilla. Hoppes # 9 & a Viper Boresnake would be good for M&P barrel cleaning.
Birchwood-Casey's Synthetic Gun Scrubber is good for cleaning but CLPs do a good job, .
Don't use a lot of oil or CLP.
For details, see; www.gunzilla.us www.mpro7.com www.midwayusa.com www.brownells.com www.natchezss.com www.weaponshield.com

Brownells offers a lot of great kit & cleaning products.

Clyde covered it pretty well.

You might also take a look at the instruction manual that came with your M&P and see what S&W suggests, after all they engineered and produced the pistol.

Gunzilla....

I have not used any Gunzilla on my firearms yet but it's got a lot of + internet buzz and was in use by many combat troops in SouthWest Asia(OIF/OEF).
It'd be safe for plastics or rubber but I'd wipe it off just like any other CLP.
I owned some LPX & used it often with my M&P. Ballistol is CFC free, non toxic & can be used on metal, polymer, rubber, wood, etc. It's a great product.
