Cool little thing, I guess that was blanks yes? Sort of looks like you are shooting at a roadway...

We used about 200gr of black powder and some wadding. It packs a pretty good punch.

That is cool!
A pretty little gun!

I wish I had that thing when I was 14 years old, damn I would have had some fun.
I would be dead, but it would have been fun!

That's what I'm talking about.
I would have found a projectile, whether rock, golf ball, or whatever, but I would have found a slug and fired it at something.

We have some .69 cal lead balls, but will wait to shoot them when we aren't at our shop in town. We did use another projectile......skittles. Check it out!

I saw the crew from the TV reality show Pawn Stars shoot a bowling ball out of a mortar a couple of nights ago. You could probably top them by shooting billiard balls out of your little cannon.

conical projectile!!!!!!!

Hey,

Parrots shot a conical projectile, as you know I bet.

So a .69 minie would be "authentic".

Is it rifled?????

Jawbreakers make great "plinking" rounds. Local store sells 2 1/4 inch ones that fit good in my mountain howitzer. They don't carry like an iron ball but at 100 yds. theyll go through a car. sorry no pics, I live in dial-up land.

used to suck on those for 20 minutes to get them to fit our 1.25" cannon barrel. They would blow right through a two by four.

Neat. I have a smaller version in .50 cal, not rifled. Have fired blanks many times but no balls.
