Sure enough...
Looks like they have a couple of Caniks on their website including the CZ-75 clone. http://www.centuryarms.com/wp-conten...ay-C-angle.jpg

my Canik55
I love my new pistol. Only one thingi would change. That's firing without half cocking. It is pretty rough & hard at the resting position.
Does anyone know where i can get a laser that will mount? |

Tristar is importing a Canik PCR clone that I saw in person, it looks good and what little feedback out there has been positive.
For under $350 new I'm thinking of picking one up so I'm going to call Monday to find out about warranty and magazines. They use MecGar mags but I can't find them for sale anywhere and they don't interchange with the PCR. |

Looks really well put together, maybe I'd change my opinion if I actually held one.
Still, if you can get a new one for 300 bucks and warranty support... I'm guessing they'd sell lots of them. |

I recently purchased a Tristar C100 which is the Canik 55. It is an aluminum framed pistol similar to the cZ Compact, having the safety rather than the decocker. Mine came with two Mec-Gar magazines which are the same magazines I use in the cZ Compact. Although similar to the cZ, it is not a clone as there are differences in the internal parts. There is also a slight difference in the grip.
It is a great shooting pistol and, in 500 rounds to date, I have not had a misfire. Although only a few ounces lighter than the steel cZ Compact, it dertainly feels much lghter. All up, it is an excellent pistol and for $350 is a real bargain. |

I am still trying to figure out why people think a DA/SA gun which can be carried in cocked and locked mode, or DA with a decocked hammer, and no mag safety, is a clone of a single action, no DA capability, magazine disconnect safety design.
Aside from the tapered slide, there is little in common. |

The BHP, which a few folks insist the CZ75 virtually cloned itself from (earlier posts in this thread, for example).

Ahh. Ok, got it. I missed the BHP connection and was lost trying to figure out what SA gun we were talking about...
