25-20 ammo value
Hi,
First time post, new here. I have a full box of Western 25-20, 86 Gr Soft point I have no need for. A local gunshop owner said he would trade me something for it. Would it be reasonable to ask for 40 rounds of 45-70, or 6.5 Swiss? Thanks! |

I have been a collector for 45 years, this ammo is old enough to have some collectors intrest. While not rare it is still being produced. The ammo load is the most common so nothing special. However it should sell for about new price od @$40 if both box and ammo are in good shape.

My last box cost me $49 and change so I ordered a set of dies. I also paid $19 and change for a box at a gunstore where the owner had an old box covered with dust that he pulled put of storage and had just put out on his counter. I snatched it up before anybody else saw it. Bless his little cotton picking heart he sold it for sticker price. Asking for $40 worth of ammo in trade would be fair in my limited experience of buying 25-20.

25-20 ammo
Do you still have the 25-20 ammo? What caliber would you like in trade.
