Show and Tell... recent holster build...

Just wanted to post a pic of a recent holster I made for a friend. He was looking for something to match the Mammoth Ivory grips on his custom 1911. An exact match with leather or other exotics is always tough... but I think I did alright.

The inlay is ivory colored Caiman Crocodile. I have to admit... the color combo is not something I would personally go for, but to each their own. He was thrilled with it, so I was too

comments, critiques, etc. are welcome!

Very nice work Sixer,,,

I build as well so I do recognize good technique.

I especially like the cleanliness of the belt cutouts,,,
That's one area that a lot of makers flub on.

Nice job.

Thanks Aarond!

I've seen some of your work, and that's high praise coming from you

That looks great and the color combo really works. I really am drooling over the mammoth too.

So, what exectly does it take to be your friend?

Great work! Love the contrast, very unique.

Haha... honestly not much! Although, I did charge him for the holster... I have a long list of "toys" that need buying

I appreciate the kind words.

I actually like that color combo... with that specific gun anyway.
Nice workmanship!

Thank you Sir! It's always a fun challenge to build a holster around the grips... at least it is when it turns out OK
