Has Ruger finally fixed this issue? I am really interested in buying this weapon, but i am worried about the stories i read about the peening?

It was a problem with the first run of pistols, including mine. Ruger fixed those and fixed the problem long ago.

As mentioned, Ruger has fixed that issue.
I bought my SR9 a couple years ago, and have put over 1K trouble free rounds through it since. Sweet shooting gun.

I don't have the SR9 but have the SR9C. I use it for CC and have put over 2000 rounds through it without a jam or a problem. I have heard some complain about peening but I haven't experienced it. Good luck.
