Magazine extension compatibility
Will a mag tube extension for a Mossberg 500 work on my Mossberg 535? I know the barrels are not interchangeable due to the taper of the barrels on the 535 vs. the 500. But, from everything I've read, the receivers are identical, which would lead me to beleive the mag tube extension would work. I've also drawn this conclusion based on when I contacted Knoxx/Blackhawk about the compatibility of the Knoxx Spec-Ops stock for the 500 fitting my 535.
Anyone else have any info on mag tube extension compatibility? |

The Mossberg 500 & 535 don't accept magazine extentions. The only way to increase magazine capacity is to change the entire mag tube, the way that the barrels are attached you have to change barrels, too.... you can increase the capacity, but it's usually less expensive to buy a new gun on sale...
The location of the barrel attachement lugs is in a different location, so you can't mix action parts between the 500 & 535 series. Stocks on the 500, 535, & 835 can be interchanged.
