Are they steel cases? My boy buys them for his SKS which cost Santa 90 bucks several years ago.Steel vs steel in a handgun is a losing proposition.

If I had a hi-dollar 1911 I'd be a little concerned about the steel cases accelerating extractor, ejector, barrel, slide face wear.

Other than that.. go for it..

I've got medium-dollar 1911's, I've shot some wolf 45 acp.. worked great, wouldn't want to make a habit of it though.

I'd rather reload my own when it comes to 45.

Junk ammo. Hot and Dirty.
Pay a wee bit more and buy Fiocchi. If you buy bulk, www.ammoman.com sells a case for $199.
