Glock 35 mag release swap

I have been told by a dubious source that the mag release button on the Glock match pistols, G35 specifically are NOT reversible. That seems a bit odd to me.

I suspect that if there is any truth to the statement, that the extended mag release is not reversible, but that the std mag release can be fitted and it is then reversible.

I have zero Glock armorer experience. Another agency has purchased
G35's and are wanting to install left handed mag release buttons. Why the confusion?
