Birthdate For An Old Colt Python?

Greeting's All,

I once owned an old Colt 2.5" barrel Python, and supposedly it
had a lot of local history behind it. In an effort to help confirm
this information, I wonder if anybody would have an idea as
to its date of manufactuer? S/N = 295XX. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance!

Best Wishes,

Ala Dan, the Colt Python you describe was made in 1963. Hope this helps!

Thanks Steven, I certainly do appreciate that information.
I have strong suspicion that this weapon belonged to a
local LEO; who after countless uses of this weapon, sold
it to an "eye-doctor".
