READY stand for my 45

I've had way too much time on my hand lately and built this thingamabob

that I've seen at so many displays. Does anyone out there think this would damage the gun? It just seems like a good idea for a home without kids for being "at the ready"

out of curiosity, where are you going to keep it? I could see it being a bit too high for the nightstand (i.e. can't grip it properly without getting up) but would probably be great if it was on the floor.

about mattress level on the computer stand. I tried the ole quick too and it didn't seem to b a problem. I'll probably get bored of it eventually and put it away soon enough but I'm still gloatin over the new piece 4 now
