Bedding question

In prepping the stock around the recoil lug area I am not sure if I should enlarge the recoil lug hole on the magazine/rear side of the hole? This would be the side the recoil lug abuts to.

I like to have 1/16 to 3/32 or so of slop back there for the glass bedding compound. Unless the original inletting was unbelievably sloppy, you will have to remove material behind the recoil lug to get that kind of space.
