Does anyone know of a good source for small step drills? I thought I would try my hand at making some handgun grips and most require a step drill for the screw holes.

I'm assuming that by step drills you mean ones that will cut a flat-bottomed pocket, a la a Forsner bit.
Try Constantine's Woodworker's Supply in New York. They seem to have one of the best selections out there. I don't know if they are on the Web or not, but I would be shocked if they're not.
