Front Sight. Good or bad? Reasons?
Tactical Response? Good or bad? Reasons? Any other recommendations? I live in TN. As of right now I only have handgun so the above questions apply to their handgun courses. |

http://www.rangemaster.com/ in Memphis - Givens is a great teacher.
I've met the Tactical Response folks and heard good things about them. Not take a class though. No particular reason to Front Sight, Gunsite or TR with trying something local.

I just finished a Snub Class with Michael deBethencourt. If you have a snub revolver take his class.

No need to travel a lot when you have national- class schools right there in your home state. Tom Givens at Rangemaster in Memphis has an outstanding program, as mentioned earlier. ( http://www.rangemaster.com/ )
Also in-state is one of the most under-rated world class trainers going- Randy Cain at Cumberland Tactics in Goodlettsville ( http://www.randycain.com/ ). Like many instructors, Randy travels to teach- see his class schedule to see what's lined up for where and when. Lots of other trainers travel as well- ask around at local clubs, ranges and gunstores to see if anyone will be on the road near you, or if classes by local instructors are scheduled. Have fun, and stay safe- lpl/nc |
