1911 Slim Grips Question

Hey everyone,

Been thinking about putting slim wood grips on my Kimber Custom II that I picked up a couple days ago.

I understand that I need different screws and bushings, which I get with the grips, but how do they install? Do they require modification to the frame, or do they simply screw onto the existing grip screws?

***Bushings and screws do come with the grips***

Thanks in advance!!

No big deal the bushings just unscrew but you need to be careful not to destroy the slots on the bushings. Brownells sells everything you need. Bushings screws and special bushing screw driver.

Make sure that you double check that the slim bushings and shorter screws actually do come with the grips. Sometimes you have to purchase those seperately. I think they're about $8 or something if you do. But you won't need any special modifications to the frame. The slim bushings screw into the frame using the same threaded holes that the original bushings went in.
