"Cheaper Than Dirt"
Anyone dealt with this online gun store? Wondering if they are reputable.

I have a friend that swears by them. Try ordering something small then if it comes when its supposed to and is what you wanted then order more.

They have low prices on Ruger LC9 ($314+$10 shipping) and LCR $371 + $10 shipping).

I bought a ~$450 rifle from them, no problem at all
Be careful when you order a number of things - they have two warehouses and you could get hit with two sets of shipping and handling charges. They clearly indicate what ships from location A and what ships from B, but I could see overlooking that if I ordered in a hurry.

Nothing but good things to say about this place. Sometimes I receive stuff from them scary fast.

Dealt with them for years; order with confidence.
Only time I had a problem with an order, they instantly rectified things in my favor. "Scary fast" shipping is dead on.

I've ordered from them before but "Cheaper than Dirt" is rarely true... I can almost always find a cheaper place.
Graf and sons Powder Valley Natchez Cheaper than Dirt is a fine business, IME, but not cheapest.

Ordered one time (so far) from them - three boxes of Remington Golden Saber, one box of Winchester Ranger (all 40 s&w). Their price, plus the shipping charges, were still a bit lower than I could find them at the GS. Shipping was indeed fast, and prices were good. That said, the Golden Sabers seemed to have some sort of ink (?) or discoloration on the primer ends. Was this because they'd sat in a warehouse for awhile? Was it merely some "special" shipment they got of these? I don't know. They seem to shoot fine, so I'm not too worried. Will very likely order from them again.

Gregdry, that's probably primer sealant.
I remember when CTD was just a table at the local gun shows selling army surplus and cheap accessories. I deal with the store here in Ft. Worth and find them to be very well stocked & professional. I have also mail ordered from them on a few occasions and recieved good results. If you're looking for high end equipment I'd look elsewhere but for good stuff at good prices they are as good as any. |

I've ordered ammo from them with no problems but they refuse to ship any guns to NY even though, outside of NYC, it is perfectly legal to ship to an FFL anywhere else in the state. Too bad, they frequently havevsome pretty good deals. But I've had no problem with buds and their prices are always quite good.

I've been to their store, okay. My beef is when we had the bad shortages a few years back they were doing some pretty heavy price gouging, kind of ****** me off. Certainly legal for them to do so but kind of left a bad taste so I don't even consider buying from them just on the principle of it.

I have ordered from them and have never had any problems, but I agree with the above post that they really aren't that cheap.

Have bought plenty from them, never a problem.
Have heard about the so-called price gouging in the past. No one forced anyone to buy from them. They are a business and did what they had to. Doesn't seem to stop people from buying gasoline at the pumps. Same thing happening there. VERY fast shipping! |

CTD has always had my order shipped within 24 hours, if not the same day, and their prices are always competitive so I continue to order from them.

Big fan of CTD as per my other post here, however........
Just place an order, noticed I was getting hit for $36 to ship about $200 worth of stuff. They charged me 3 different shipping fees from 3 different warehouses. Two boxes of ammo from one........2 from another... then ammo and stuff in the third. While shopping, keep on eye on "warehouse A, B, C" etc.

The biggest thing with Cheaper than dirt is you pretty much have to order a bunch of stuff to make it worth it. They charge alot for shipping no matter what the weight or size so if you just want a box of ammo, your gonna pay more to ship it than the ammo cost.
So your best bet is to wait till you need a couple of things and get them all at once. |

I think they sell a lot of cheap stuff. IF you know the brand and price is good go for it, but I def wouldn't assume anything they carry is not a VERY VERY cheap piece of tupperware imitaation.
