228 recoil spring

would like some imput on recoil spring replacement on 228 sig, wolf offers three differant parts a 17, 19 and 21 # factory is 16. the reason i think the springis bad the front of the slide has two marks where the barrel hit. are wolf good springs????? what would you recommend. schrack

Personally, I prefer to use only the braided factory recoil springs in Sigs. It just seems to me that if Sig felt they didn't need to use a braided recoil spring in thier pistols, they wouldn't use one, since a more convential spring would probably be both cheaper and easier to produce.
