28 gauge Franchi

My gun dealer is on vacation for the entire month of July. Franchi does not list prices on the web site. Anyone know the price of The Field grade 48 AL?

Around $700+ for used ones for sale on the Internet. That tells me that it should be doable for me to purchase a new one.

I just found 2 of these locally, used.

One is 500.00, and the other is 600. Both in roughly the same condition. Are these things reliable?

Franchis have a good rep for reliability and durability. If you like it, it'll be well worth the money.

The action is similar to the A-5.

Thanks for the link, K80G. Steve Smith, one of the writers mentioned in the article, came by our house once. He was brought by a mutual friend of my father's (Mark). Apparently Mark had been bragging about my dad's pointers and were bribing dad to come out and play. This was quite awhile ago, I think before Steve was published. Mark is a fair to middlin' writer himself, although unpublished as yet as far as I know. The 28 sure sounds like fun. A welcome relief for all the serious stuff that is so abundunt today.
