I put a Butler Creek bull barrel on my 1981 vintage 10/22 and ever since it stovepipes about every third shot. The fresh round goes into the chamber but the ejected brass stovepipes. A new factory mag helped some but it still does it. Extractor? Occasionally it will not eject but not very often. The gun has had LOTS of rounds through it and since rebarreling it shoots great, when it shoots. Ejection was not a problem before replacing the barrel. What is the fix on this one?

Gopher, check to see the extractor isn't getting beat up on the new breech. Usually with a stovepipe it ends up being an extractor problem and since it didn't occur until you switched barrels that's what it sounds like to me. George
