Texas open carry proposed law
I just heard on news radio at lunch, that the new propose open carry law in
Texas is coming up for debate this coming Monday. I urge all Texas members of the Firing line forums to call their local representative and senator, and urge them to pass this law. The police chief in Austin was on the news and is on record saying its a bad law, that their will be wild west shootouts in the streets! Guess he doesnt realize that Texas has concealed carry in the state since George Bush's first term as governor! And we have had no shootouts yet. I guess the sight of an openly carried handgun would just be too much for some, and would just have to pull their pistols and start shooting! This guy is a liberal tool from the great state of Kalifornia, so should give you a headsup on his views. Just wanted to give the Texas members a headsup on this important legislation. |

I keep my elected officials in Austin aware of my position on gun issues regularly. Email can be a very useful tool in that respect.
