Thanks, Pat: Ken Campbell article
Thanks to THE Pat Rogers for writing such an excellent article on all-around swell egg Captain Ken Campbell of the Boone County (Indiana) Sheriff's Department in the December 2005 issue of SWAT. Ken is a great individual and a great instructor.
However, with his election to Sheriff we have the opportunity to further the cause of the RKBA. One thing the law loves is something to copy. With Ken as Sheriff the training that takes place at Boone County will be extended and reinforced. Other departments will be forced to observe that awful, slimy mere serfs/civilians undergo training alongside police officers with no problems. Our brothers in other counties, other states will have a fine example to point to in lobbying for similar developments in their area of operations. Thanks, Pat. (Finally bought BUIS from Troy at the show in Indy on Oct. 29th, they work great).

Win With Ken!
Thanks KS!
I enjoyed writing that one. Ken is of course a friend, and what he does is unique (to the best of my knowledge). While a grerat many of this and other forums will bad mouth others within the community (ever notice how everyone on the errornet is an ex-spurt on everything?), Ken is proof that it can be done- and done right! His fight isn't over of course, and help is always needed. Hope to see you in Lebanon again this year! www.kencampbellforsheriff.com Win With Ken! |

I'm off to CO for an Elk Hunt.
During that time, SWAT will match all contributions to the Win with Ken campaign, dollar for dollar, up to a limit of $2K. Your word is your bond, and good enough for us, so long as you're an current Member at TFL. You may not think this is an impoortant campaign, but lemme ask you: When was the last time you heard of local law enforcement opening their range for civilian tactical training and actually participating in the teaching? For me, never before. I've attended classes up there and it's truly exceptional. Post your pledge today. This challenge ends on my return. Rich

Pat, the only thing I am expert at is breaking gear! Oh, well, everyone is good at something.
Rich, thank you for the very generous offer. I will start a new thread thingy. TFL, Indiana is a full disclosure state. Ken will need your name and address along with the denek. Let's get this money train started! $150.00 coming down I-65 Ken's way. Win with Ken! America, F*****' A!
