How are posts counted?
I have noticed different numbers of posts for a particular person posted on different categories and different threads. Would it be possible to show a person's TOTAL number of posts to the site on each submission, whether it is a reply or a new thread? If a person had a kajillion posts overall, and only posted once in a particular forum, he might be seen as a newbie and treated as such. What is the criteria for getting your promotion from Junior to Senior? No big problem, just a thought. Thanks for a great site.

The post count you see under a person's screen name is cumulative.
If you see it change for the same person from thread to thread, they're posting while you read. |

To illustrate what Tamara said, your post count shown in this thread is 16 right now. It is also 16 in all other threads you've participated in. If you post here again, the count in your original post above will then be 17 as it will be in all the other threads.
I believe the magic number to change from "Member" to "Senior" is 100. |
