Shooting the PKM GPMG - SICK fun!!!
I had the chance to shoot a PKM (post sample) this past weekend and check it out.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_F-q7MNYBE Talk about the most impressive GPMG I've ever used, this thing is it. Of course there are a few things I would change, but in general, this thing is a cut above many western designs, IMHO. |

Sweet. Hope to get one of those semi PKMs some day. My favorite MG.
Two things though. 1. Never knew the U.S. military used these. Are they generally handed out or is it just rare cases for the special forces? 2. You mentioned that the local PD wanted a demo of this gun. I always wondered why police departments could possibly be interested in a belt-fed MG. Especially a Russian one. Just something I think a police department really has no reason to have. |

StG, you were nice not to tell Mister Gunshop that he was soo wrong about US military using that MG.
He made it sound like it was general issue somewhere in the US military. Not so. But our allied Irag and Afghan forces are using them, and if there is a very bad firefight going horribly wrong for our brave lads, it would be nice if they knew how to use this weapon. The brief scene of a soldier getting ready to fire, was a man in the old chocolate chip desert cammies that US replaced in the 1990's. He was either Iragi or Afganny. Bart Noir Who appreciates your videos.
