what is a 41 patterson caliber?

Just saw an older contender barrel today, it's marked "41 patterson". If anyone knows anything about this, please shed any light you can. I can't find a darn thing.

From an expired auction site http://www.oztion.com.au/buy/auction...itemid=8684841
"This wildcat is based on the 50 Action Express case and has been necked down to 41 calibre. There is a 40 calibre version of this and both are used for pistol silhouette and hunting. No ballistics are available but would have to be substantial velocity and power"
Hope this may lead you in the right direction
