I don't have a clue where it went. Do you recall any single member who had posted in the thread?

Im not sure but I think Para bellum posted in it .Im not sure though.
I can remember that it was three pages long ,maybe two , and on the second page there was a pic of a m4 with a eotech on it . Is there any way you can cross reference all the pictures and maybe that way find the thread .? Its really fustrating because Im certain I was looking at it yesterday and now i cant find it Maybe its possible that one of the mods deleted it , I dont know why they would though ... Thanks Bob |

Sorry, still can't find it. I checked Para Bellum's posts for the past 6 months and there was no thread similar to the one you described. We can't search for pictures based on the image content.
Are you positive it was on TFL? I had already checked for deleted or moved threads before my first post here. |

I remember seeing that thread recently, Mal. I think it was in general discussion.
Strange!

Ok , I just read through the first ten pages of general discussion and nothing .
Is it possible the server for this forum deleted a thread or blocked it out ? Do any virus,s delete single threads or what ? Bob |

Don't know what happened to it. I remember it, but I can find no trace of it.

I can't see that the server would have simply deleted it without it being due to a MySQL DB corruption which would probably have brought the forums down.

I don't know if that's the thread everyone was looking for, but it's a good candidate.
I guess we couldn't find it because everyone thought it would be in one of the more general forums, not in the rifle forum. I know I didn't look in the rifle forum. http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/...d.php?t=213427 |

Ah, you're just getting old and forgetting where you put things, Mal!

"Nope, it's not mine, officer. I never saw that thing before in my life!"
Memory of something only works if you've seen or been involved in that something before. Actually, I did check to see if the thread had been moved to rifles, it hadn't. It originated there. We still don't know for sure that that is the thread in question. |
